1. How easy is it to transport?
   • Just because it is called a travel cot doesn't always mean it is lightweight or compact. Check the weight and folded dimensions if you have to carry it far or fit it in your boot. e.g. Samsonite Pop-up Bubble Travel Cot
   • Some come with wheels for added manoeuvrability.
2. How easy is it for you to get your baby in and out?
   • Fiddly flaps or a very deep travel cot may make it difficult to get a sleeping baby into his cot.
   • Check the height of the sides or look at adjustable height cots to make this easier.
   • Pop up cots are at floor level so check how easy is it for you to get down there?
3. How easy is it for your baby to get out?
   • Pop up cots are at floor level so if the mesh side hasn't been zipped up they can get out.
   • It is also possible for a toddler to climb out of a high sided travel cot so always be vigilant.
4. Do you want to use it as a playpen or tent?

   • Some come with added extras like changing tops and activity arches.
5. Is it easy to assemble?
   • Practice putting up and taking down the cot. Some types definitely need more practice than others.
6. Does it have a viewing window for keeping an eye on him?
   • Most cots have mesh sides for keeping tabs on what he is up to.
